Undergraduate
We offer four undergraduate programs that lead to a Bachelor Degree.
The Components of The Four-tier Program
1. Certificate of Biblical Studies 30 Credits 2. Diploma of Biblical Studies 60 Credits 3. Associate of Biblical Studies 90 Credits 4. Bachelor of Biblical Studies 120 Credits 5. Bachelor of Theology 120 Credits
How The Four-tier Undergraduate Program Works.
We differ from most Bible Colleges, because our undergraduate degree program consists of four complete modules of study. A student taking this program must graduate each level before moving onto the next. For example: In most traditional Colleges, if a student wanted to take a Diploma or Degree program, they would be given a list of required courses to complete the program which they would take over a designated period of time. For a Bachelor Degree, that is usually four years. During that time, they would receive no other Certificates or Diploma’s. If for some reason they could not complete the full requirement of courses for the particular Degree or Diploma, they would receive no official certification for the work they had accomplished to that date. Specifically, they would not be able to graduate at all at any level until the whole program was complete. All they would have, is a college office record of the state of their accumulated credit account. That is fine, if they go on to finish the prescribed program, but what if they don’t? Naturally, they can obtain the traditional official transcript accounting for their accomplishments, but they still have no recognition in the form of a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree that they can proudly display as a visible record of their level of achievement, because they have not yet completed the program they signed up for.
Our four-tier system is different, because a student can obtain qualification and recognition for their achievements, as they go. They graduate each level at a ceremony with a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree pertaining to the level they have completed. If for some reason they are unable to continue or just simply decide to stop at a certain level, they will have a visible record of their accomplishments to the level they have completed.
The idea behind the Four-tier program, is that Christian Ministry Training can be obtained in manageable segments, allowing for students to take a break between studies if they wish, or if personal circumstances dictate.
All Roads Lead Home
Another great feature of this system for on-campus students, is that each tier is not rated from a basic to advanced level of study (That is, there are no year-specific courses). We simply teach all of the courses required for the Bachelor Degree on a rotating basis. This means that a student can enter the program at the beginning of any semester, and simply progress through each program-tier until they have completed all of the courses required for the degree. This also allows for our on-campus classes to accommodate students of all levels in the same class. Students in their first year will be taking the courses for a Certificate, while a fourth year student (those who have completed the other three tiers, will be taking the same courses and yet will be obtaining their Bachelor Degree.
For Correspondence students, it is even more flexible, because they can take courses in any order they desire, graduating each tier from Certificate through to the Bachelor Degree, for every 30 credits of study completed, no matter what order they take the courses in.
